"proud of a life where to give means more than to take" is my favourite line.
It's a bit of a state of the world address I think. Just some young kid looking around and seeing all this shit and writing it down. |

I take this song as a bit of a swipe at the type of retards who wear Che Geuvara t-shirts and the like but don't have a fucking clue who he is or what he represents. |

The "take your foot off the brake" (in fact this whole song) reminds me of the scene in Fight Club where Brad Pitt and Ed Norton are in the car crash. Same kinda idea...
"If you were to die, right now, what do you wish you would have done". I think that's the quote. |

There's a live version I've got where he ramps up the "desperation" in his voice even more. Practically screams the last few lines. Fantastic.
This was the song that got me into TMG. |

Not entirely sure what this song's about. It appears to be a "standard bitter love song" ; ) but I dunno if that's too literal.
Great metaphor though. |

"I'd be grateful my children aren't here here to see this,
if you'd ever seen fit to give me children."
Wow! One of the most biting, spiteful lyrics I've every heard. John is one of the greatest lyricists ever! Right up there with Dylan in my book. |

Apparently Alagemo means Chameleon in Nigerian or something?!? At least that's as much as I've been able to find out through Google.
I thought it/he/she might have been some sort of Greek-type person from ancient history. |
