Can't say I've never been guilty of talking out of my arse before. Thanks for corrections on my entry. Teach me to think even more carefully. |

Yup. Zero one has it there. A psychology student (a particularly sexy blonde I remember) explained it to me. Alllllll about oral sex and the guy getting distracted while he's down there... |

My inital reaction to all this OC talk is similar to inbertweenmolecule's reaction... I absolutely hate that self-pitying bag of over privileged shite program. That aside, I have, as I read down (and this is saying a lot considering how bigoted I am against that show) I sawe that some of your OC viewers have been awakened to decent music. So, I say (gritted teeth) thank you OC. I hope my wife never sees this.
Doves - saw them live in Wembley and Bolton (supporting Coldplay), their home town. Almost a spiritual experience for me. This song, and Pounding were two of the most amazing concert experiences I have ever had. |

Couldn't agree more Mattzillaman. An outstanding track with a wombling sort of theme to it's lyrics- don't just sit on yer ass doing nothing with your life, take hold of it and throttle it - the backing vocals towards the end are such a cool addition. The tune reminds me a lot of a later OMD one (perhaps the Sugar Tax era?). |

I have been listening to this song for ages, and stupidly nevwer understood the full meaning until I actually read the lyrics. I got the prophets and bombs bit, but missed the whole phones ringing on the Friday morning, one from someone you knew. Obviously reference to the bombs on the 7th July - Friday morning. I now feel extremely guilty (on one level I know that's ridiculous) about jumping around the room to this fantastic song. But I take some solace in my new interpretation in that Fyfe wrote it to be very upbeat as two fingers up at the idiots (too weak a word I know) perpetrating the massacres and the idiots running the country. Sorry about the last political rant bit.
Anywho, the last comment by thisismat - its not moan, it's mourn. Sorry dude.
Get the album by the way - track 10, track 2, track 3 - ah sod it - they're all magic. |
