Ironically, this song is about the same guy as Thnks Fr Th Mmrs. This was like... when FOB were friends with Chris, and then Thnks Fr Th Mmrs was after they fell out with him (although it's more so Pete who fell out with him, after killing Chris' then-relationship) That's what I found out via research, anyhoot. Read the letter from [hey]Chris about Pete... Actually, don't :) I like Fall Out Boy :) Not that the letter changes my opinion anyway... I mean, I just like the music. |

... I thought it was about something else until I read everyone else's comments. In one way, I agree with everyone else... with the whole jealousy for no reason thing... but I also see another meaning... Maybe the guy was trying to hold onto the girl too tightly, afraid he'd lose her when he had no reason to: "The more you squeeze, the more it slips away" - The more you try to hold onto something, the more you lose it. Also: "When you push on glass it's bound to break" - (The glass being the girl, represented as fragile/delicate)... he tried too hard to make her stay, she had to leave. So I think she could have left him... Tis all how you interpret it anyway. :) |

So, basically, any teen who listens to this song and says they like it shouldn't be listening to it cos they're 'trying to be cool'? So how are you saying you differentiate between the people who listen to it cos they genuinly like it, and the people who listen to it cos everyone else does? Cos you guys have made it sound like every teen who likes fall out boy are just trying to be cool... meh (sorry if that was a bit repeatative...) |
