Hoobastank – The Reason Lyrics 16 years ago
The epitome of all God awful in music today. How did we go from pop music that had universal appeal in the 70's back to this? There was a time this song was played nearly back to back and it's what finally drove me away from the radio. Nearly every song just pointless drivell concerning heartbreak and pubeless boys who're mad at dad. It'd be nice for some variety. Just listen to a song by My Morning Jacket, Gideon. It's beautiful, insightful. It's got depth. Something we would've heard on the radio 30 to 40 years ago. It's actually a very politically motivated song. Mainstream is far too afraid to go there anymore. Might drive fans away. Pathetic.

Queens of the Stone Age – Make It Wit Chu Lyrics 17 years ago
now I was told in an amazon review that this is in fact Mark Lanegan, which would make me happy cuz i can't hear a hint of him in River in the Road. It just doesn't sound like him cuz there's not much gruffness in the voice. can anyone confirm this?

Mark Lanegan – Come To Me Lyrics 17 years ago
This is by far one of the highlights of Bubblegum. The rough gravelpit voice of Mark Lanegan contrasting the soft angelic voice of PJ Harvey in this song of desperate longing is so heartwrenchingly good. The instrumentation is so delicate; the wirey buzz that echoes each vocal delivery, the faded distant strings, the bass curtaining our artists with miserable desperation. It's a crime music like this doesn't catch more of the limelight.

Queens of the Stone Age – Precious and Grace (ZZ Top cover) Lyrics 17 years ago
Yeah this song is a tour de force of rock and fucking roll. It doesn't get any better than this. Fucking rip roaring guitar and not one, but two dirty and mean vocalists, spitting and growling into the mics. It all comes together splendidly.

Queens of the Stone Age – Skin On Skin Lyrics 17 years ago
This song perfectly captures the nasty animal-like features of good ol' fashioned love making. Disgusting, vile, grotesque, and I fucking love it!

This song perfectly captures the nasty animal-like features of good ol' fashioned love making. Disgusting, vile, purely grotesque, and I fucking love it!
