I think you hit it spot on. I'd just like to add... "Looking towards the future We were begging for the past" We hardly ever live in the present - we're always looking to the future or past, as if it will be, or was, better than the present. We shouldn't necessarily focus on the future, or we may just miss the boat. |

the whole time I thought the lyrics were ... "keep forgetting something birth of a child comes someplace wild even grey days beat the ***shades of green*** - not, "shade to wean" unbodied unsouled unheard unseen" ... I thought that's what it was before I came on here - it could be the right or wrong lyric, idk, listen for yourself. If it is the line "even grey days beat the shades of green", then I think it means that sober days, unaffected by any chemical influence, are better. That even if you're sad, it is better to experience it instead of covering it up with something else. |

IMO, he's been hung up on the same girl for som time and wants to move forward so he can find that 'happiness'. |

This is the best song I've heard on the album so far - I just bought the album and am listening to it right now. "lightning comes and lightning goes" - I think it just means that things come and things go; everything changes, nothing is permanent. As for the rest of the song, I really have no idea. |

I just heard an acoustic of this song on youtube and some of the verses are completely different than shown here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjbShBYW-2g In any case, the song seems generally self explanatory: The family is going through a rough time right now... and even though was second born Stephen has to play the role of first born because either his older sibling isn't emotionally capable of the task or he/she has passed away. That's just my take - I really enjoy this song! Can't wait for the new album... it should be here Aug. 18th! |

dissent is illegal in communist states, which are totalitarian and destroy individual rights and liberties... she "spoke her mind" when she spoke out against communism, now her resistance has worn thin, and she's a red star, a communist Um... you must be turning blind eye, no pun intended towards 3EB, to what's been happening in our country. People are arrested for dissent; people are arrested for speaking their minds. Are you oblivious to what's happening in your own--our own--country? what an inspirational song. I think it's about how you are in control of life. You're not at the mercy of life's circumstances, because you are the one that creates those circumstances. You are the master of your own life. That's what I get out of it anyway. |
