I think it would be next to impossible to be less than amazed by the musical qualities exhibited by Battles. Their music is legendary when you listen to it and differs from the lyrics when you read it. Very few artists can claim such talent and Battles definitely falls into that category. The lyrics seem quite metaphorical and deep, and seem to signal a struggle or fight within an individual. Whatever the meaning, the lyrics show a complicated thought process that can only be entangled by the writer or the person going through those events. |

hmmm...what could this song mean? not that much really. I think this song is a great example that not every song has to mean something. And more importantly this song explores beats and rhythms, while lyrics take a backseat. This song is mindnumbing and an incredible experience to first-timers. And it only gets better and more mental after each listen. |

This song definitely addresses posers. I guess the media nowadays presses on the public, these strict rules of convenience ( i probably didn't spell that right). It's true how the fashionable thing is to submit to peer pressure. This song describes a guy who realized the media's motive and is just pointing out what a simpleton he really is.
