| AFI – The Leaving Song Pt. 2 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
The title is connected to the artwork of the album: The Leaving Song (pt. II). Leaves always die off and come back again just like the spanish in the song implies. AFI are no strangers to themes of Autumn in their songs. I'm not going to jot down my input on the metaphor though. |

| Horse the Band – A Rusty Glove Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Perhaps this song references 'Blade Runner'... or more accurately the book it's based off of: "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' ("If I am a machine because of my hand made heart, why do I dream I'm a dinosaur tearing sheep apart") See the connection? ("If I am a machine because of my hand made heart, why do I dream I'm a dinosaur tearing sheep apart") Also.. think of Red Tornado's line: "Circuitry and Sympathy are two separate things, but they come together in a robot who dreams" |

| Horse the Band – Treasure Train Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| well, you mentioned the band "starting to take off" which I think didn't fit the description. | |
| Horse the Band – Treasure Train Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Actually, treasure train has been described as being life. It's just the ride though life in Nathan's eyes... which could be full of his imaginative craziness as described in the song. He believes in people living life to their fullest no matter what it is they choose to do so. This is what Octopus on Fire also represents. Making that change that is necessary to do what you want. |

Well, I don't know for sure but it's meant to sound like cheer leading chants so maybe they brought in some local cheerleaders? I'm just guessing based on their official page's description of the album as having cheerleaders among many other random things included in the album. |

| Horse the Band – Face Of Bear Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is quite obvious but I just love how Horse the band has the ability to create unique (or messed up) stories for people to picture in their head while listening. | |
| Horse the Band – Murder Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think it goes like this: The ???? family in ???? with the clay of the sinking river bed I tie the boy down and tear his mother's gown it's ok, she's already dead. ???? the boy and the horses to the snake you cannot see I cut open the white man and take from his women too. If it were up to me all the (their) white faces would bleed bleed and bleed and bleed this town. Murder. It's murder Murder. It's murder With a (the) blade take 'em with empty streams (doesn't make sense haha). There's a wagon on the heartland. Father brought his girl, both are headed south. I tie the boy and the horses. ???? use the skins of a wolf I don't use the bullets, get close enough I can use my knife. My knife! I cut open the white man and take from his women too. If it were up to me all the (their) white faces would bleed ?????????????????? and child (?) Cut the blood out, let it flow Cut the blood out, let it flow Cut the blood out, let it flow Like a river Let it flow or white man flow, like a river Let it flow, like a river Let it flow, like a river into the sea. |

| Horse the Band – Anti-Pizza Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
WOW! Are these transcripts from Nathan himself or is this your best assumption? The only part he told me was "Crackling with anti-matter! Anti-cheese and anti-dough, It’s impossible!" Cool! |

| AFI – ...But Home Is Nowhere Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I believe this is about Davey's lack of faith. This topic is hinted at numerous times ('The Great Disappointment' for example). |
|
| AFI – Kiss and Control Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I believe the very end says: "City lights, like rain, dance and explode. Fall upon the pitiful lives. Kiss me. (Reeling from nights that) dance and explode Fall upon the pitiful lives. Kiss me. dance and explode. City lights still grasp - city lights still grasp me. kiss and control ooohhh all of our broken hearts" |

^wrong they scoff at fans who always immediately assume their songs are related to nintendo. the 3 songs that are (cutsman, pols voice, and birdo), are just metaphors. |
|
| Horse the Band – Octopus On Fire Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is about making your life better. "Not in the the don't do drugs type of way..." | |
| Horse the Band – A Rusty Glove Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is a f*ckin' journey. I love it. | |
| Horse the Band – Softer Sounds Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I see this song as the 'Bunnies' of themechanicalhand. It's theme seems to be almost the same yet this one has more positive tones compared to bunnies. Both are songs that compare us to weak animals with no control over ourselves. This one at least has hope of escaping that while bunnies just had us being splattered by hammers haha |
|
| Horse the Band – The Black Hole Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I love how this song ties up the entire album with referances to each song (or maybe almost every song). | |
| Horse the Band – Seven Tentacles And Eight Flames Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is about performing live. This is straight from Nathan. the song 'Octopus on Fire' is a "sequel" to this song. | |
