i find this to be a really inspiring sound and i argee with outkast the track leaves alot of room for interpretation, but the idea i get is there something someone maybe a band member who hes in love with, (loves the music, = shine your light) Blue star perhaps being a refrence to someone and i think its kinda talking about how chino just doesnt care if everyone else hates it, likes it whatever its soothing him, i relise this make no sense of the line their lungs but i find the song very upliting and its a personnel translation |

I feel this song is about sex in a relationship more than anything, a girl with chino who is possibly got bored, maybe both of them and hes trying to work through it "the tricks and evil" Refer to how him trying things of a hurtfull nature or evil nature (ironically) maybe pretending to repe her in the song, the way he does the jumping mumbling being how hes acting,scaring her a bit. The various refrences in this song make me feel that shes bound or masked, the refrence to how "i want to watch you buttercup" and also how he's saying "bound by a voice" - perhaps bound (around the mouth) hes getting off on watching her bound and although hes scaring the shit out of her shes liking it (physically) "It looks and feels great, But look at what it's doing to you, but that's ok look at how it feels." this last line is indicitive of how chino loves to watch her get off, hes really excited about making her come and hence the line "Coming through the fog" - overcoming this "boredom" and so he's willing to "try it all" In a nutshell i feel the song is about a couple sexually frustrated, or "bored" with the sex their having and so trying something new, which is scaring the living shit out of his girl, which chino doesnt seem to care, because hes getting off on seeing her physically pleasured. |
