| Fall Out Boy – What a Catch, Donnie Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Going back to what earlynovrock (page 1) said, I think if it is related to that, I see it as a few of the members of Fall Out Boy being happy with what they are now and satisfied with how far they come and a crucial opposing force that was supposed to be on their side, whether it be someone else in the band or the fans would rather them go back to who they were when they began. How because of the fact that they're being criticized for doing what they want to do and making the music they want as opposed to everyone else falling in love with what they were when they first started listening to the band. Which, inevitably lead to the hiatus. I think it makes sense. | |
| Fall Out Boy – We Don't Take Hits, We Write Them Lyrics | 14 years ago |
You fucking idiot. Obviously he isn't saying this with a big head. You have to take into account that this song was written back in 2004, so obviously this was before they 'sold out' though they clearly did not. Selling out would be doing what everyone else wanted them to do, which would have been writing 3 more TTTYGs. Who the hell wants that? That's nothing. That's not progression, that's stagnation. In my opinion this song is about someone who is wanting him/them to change for their benefit or to do what they want to do but they're basically saying "No, fuck you, we're going to do what we want and you're going to be sorry that you ever left because we wouldn't listen." But that's just me. I really wish they'd record a studio version of this. |

| These lyrics are so great. | |
| Close Your Eyes – Bitter Path Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is so amazing and just pure evidence as to why this band is amazing. They put so much heart and faith into their lyrics and I can relate so well. Not just as a Christian, but as a human. These guys are so amazing. The song is basically about almost losing your trust in God and faith in him, but knowing that you should still hold on because he will always be there for you. |

| Fall Out Boy – From Now On We Are Enemies Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Wentz was talking about it in an interview saying that this song is about two different people: one is a king, rich, etc and the other is poor and unfortunate. Honestly, what I think is that these two people are Wentz before fame and Wentz after fame. Basically, when he wasn't a big rockstar, he wanted to be one. And now that he is, he doesn't want to be. Or, about him having like, two personalities, but not really. Like, two different moods that he often goes through. One, being confident, self-sufficent and comfortable with his life. The other being the other side of himself saying, "What are you doing with this life?" and like, him thinking that what he does amounts to nothing. That's just my say. I do like lolcat's interpretation. |

| Taking Back Sunday – ...Slowdance on the Inside Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The way that this and Soco could be related could be how this is about a falling out in a relationship, and how Soco was about the best, the peak of a relationship. Considering that Jesse and John used to be tight, this was probably written as the aftermath of that song, or like, a part 2. Just a thought. |

| Brand New – Noro Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Okay, I don't really know exactly what this song means. I need to listen to it a whole lot more. But from what I've gotten from it so far, it seems like the narrator has gotten himself so far down deep in a hole, and he can't get out. He tells everyone to have faith in things, (a higher power, themselves, etc) but he doesn't even have faith himself. But, he does not realize that till later. He's somewhat in self denial in the beginning, but then he realizes that he's gotten himself into a shitty mess, whatever that may be. At first, he's trying to understand why people can't just have faith in things, but then he realizes that he doesn't have all the faith he thinks he does in the end. I don't know, I need to add to this and think more about it. But so far, I'm content with what I've written. After I post this, I'll probably decide upon how wrong I was. It's cool though. Aha |

| Our Last Night – This Is Your Lifesaver Lyrics | 16 years ago |
well i don't think it's that hard to figure out... i think it's about someone who had hopes and dreams (as it says,) and they were giving up and the narrator of the song is trying to make the person have more faith in their dreams, and trying to tell the person that they do have a purpose and a chance. and then again, maybe i'm too negative, but this could easily be about suicide as well. like, "when the water is pulling you in look to the clear skies above" water could be anything. society, peers, etc. the water is pulling the person in, and the narrator is just telling them to keep believing, and in the end it'll all be worth it. (ex: believe me when i say, believe me when i say it's worth it stay awake) and then there's "we'll reach out our arms to try to find something to love there's always something to love you'll reach out your arms and find something you love i swear, i swear you'll find it" telling the person that it's not the end, and if they think that nobody is there for them, they just need to ask for help and they'll find it. very well written. aha, props to m.wentworth. |

| Fall Out Boy – ALPHAdog and OMEGAlomaniac (Demo) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"?? and save the words for the curtains" i wanna say he's saying something that sounds like, "i can almost see the ...(words?)... right through the curtains" but that doesnt make as much sense and instead of tell rock n' roll i'm alone again i thought it was damned rock n' roll, i'm alone again but i dont know if that would make much sense |
| Fall Out Boy – Hum Hallelujah Lyrics | 17 years ago |
it very well could be about his suicide attempt. i remember reading in one of his blogs, whenever people were asking about thier next single, and the rumor that it was going to be this song, he said something like, "this song will never be a single, it means too much to us" |
| Fall Out Boy – Lake Effect Kid Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think 'boxed blondes' might actually be 'faux blondes'. As in 'bleached/fake' blondes have more fun. Playing on 'blondes have more fun' and making it 'fake blondes have more fun'. Iuno. Just makes a hella lot more sense in my head. well, they're the same thing. hair dye comes in a box :] |
