| the lyrics are correct...those were on numerous afi sites inlcuding the DF message board. And believe me, I listened closely to the lyrics...They are costantly being misinterpreted by people...The lyrics at the top were wrong. Just trying to clear up misinterpretations of Davey's lyrics. And I can't say that I agree with the refererence to Christianity, but again, to each his own. | |

When you sink into me, Just give me your hands, And i'll let you feel the wounds. They believe in me. If you believe in me, How can i be dissolving? If you'd believe me, I'd tell you everything. Do you fall through? (everytime that i) As i fall. (everytime that i) Do you want to, (i'll be passing by) Fall into me? (fall into me) (fall into me) Into me. Parents can you hear me? Press me to your lips, And i'll suck the poison out. Who will heal me? me.. If you keep killing me, How can i keep absolving? Your sins into me, Begin the poisoning. Do you fall through? (everytime that i) As i fall. (everytime that i) Do you want to, (i'll be passing by) Fall into me? (fall into me) (fall into me) Into me. Time, time, time, We're not, waiting. Time, time, time We're no one. unknown. unknown. Do you fall through? (everytime that i) As i fall. (everytime that i) Do you want to? (i'll be passing by) Fall into me (fall into me) Do you fall too? (everytime that i) As i fall. (everytime that i) Do you want to, (i'll be passing by) Fall into me (fall into me) (fall into me) Into me. We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are, We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are, We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are, We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are, We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are. those are the real lyrics and yeah...I have a different interpretation of these.. I think he's actually addressing the parents of kids who listen to his songs...the parents that judge him ...He's trying to tell them that his lyrics arent wrong and that they, like him "fall too" ... time time..we're not waiting..." thats also a reference to the kids that listen to his lyrics in saying that they will not wait until they get older to listen to afi songs... "they believe in me'' maybe the parents of these kids have let them down in some way and in turn, they "sink into" afi... |

I completely agree that it is about the the opposite of straightedge..."such a pretty face such a sad disgrace" ...I think it's talking about the demoralization of youth today and how we are careless and reckless with out bodies and minds..trying to fit into "killing time" ..letting the "killing lights" draw us in and disappear into it's world...also reminded me of a quote by davey... 1. Personally I have never found the practice of recreational drug use appealing. In fact, I have always found the lifestyle and the people who surround it to be abhorrent. I never quite understood why anyone would risk sacrificing their bodies, minds, and relationships at the expense of a quick damaging high. I grew up in a small town and at my high school, like every high school, everyone's recreation of choice was drug abuse. I never understood it. and 2.Hate humanity? Yep, sure do. There's such a lack of responsibility for one's actions in the world, a selfishness, and a great destruction in the way people live their lives. It's all instant gratification, and who cares how my instant gratification affects those around me, or on a small personal leverl or a global level. The way people treat each other is truly disgusting, and we've created an environment through advances in science and technology that allows for a very septic society to thrive. btw, I'm new to this site...and I think it rocks that people come here to ponder afi's awesomeness :> |
