It's a really sweet song, I love: "If you still love me By morning Oh you’ll find me waiting in the garden By the cherry blossom tree Bring tin cups of wine and cigarettes Come to me in pirouettes My darling Save all your love for me" Oh and "come on up to my lonely retreat , i will sing you lullabies" *sigh* Oh and I love the bit about the "twisted little fairy story", gives it a slightly harsher edge, so it's sweet without being too sweet if you know what i mean, there's some realism there. |

I love it! It's brilliantly funny because Pete and Carl laughing their heads off singing it. My fave sections are "I am a goat in a moat with a boat" and "I wanna be a hippy"- Because it's at these points they are laughing most . Makes me laugh as well. Brilliant, |

First to comment on this one! I love it sooo much. My fave Dirty Pretty Things song (and I love them all so that's really saying something). The lyrics are so moving. That first section just sets the scene beautifully for the rest of the song: "Gather in your confidence and hear the story of a man who came undone". Aww Carl... His voice on this track is absolutely gorgeous as well, there's a vulnerability there which really adds to the poignancy of it. But there's something uplifting about the song as well. Simply beautiful. I get shivers down my spine with every listen. |
