Flogging Molly – The Likes Of You Again Lyrics 19 years ago
Partially the reason the song changes is because if you look at history think about an Irish wake.....it was a party! they took the recently departed back to there home and had a part in celebration of there life!!

this song makes me think of Tim Finnegans Wake!!! another good one!

Flogging Molly – Tobacco Island Lyrics 19 years ago
I think Dave really did his homework on this one....
just for sake of feeling like a smartypants

'Roundheads' were a term given to Cromwell and his followers because of there 'puritan friendly haircuts' (there hair was cute close to there heads..which was a in strong contrast to the long haired typical gaelic warrior)

'Red leg' was a term used to refer the enslaved population of Barbados(Irish and Scots)because of there red haired legs....some of the slaves actually stayed in or around Barbados and would typically refer to THEMSELVES as redlegs even some of the people of mixed heritage would do the same.
