this is one of my favourite PTH songs. it is tied with "Turn Soonest to the Sea", "she who Mars the Skin of Gods" and "Blindfolds Aside" One of the highlights of this song for me is when Rody hits that high note about 2 minutes and 45 seconds into the song. Classic!

dfa 1979, are you trying to dictate which song should be her favourite song? you are saying that as if its illegal to have a different opinion.
but seriously folks, i think rhons and LydiaXoXo are right. After all the songs i heard about making wild monkey love to people and lets not forget the fornication, i doubt that this song is just about regret for having sex with a girl. the must have both done something much worse.

in my opinion, when he is talking about loosing his friends, what i think he means is that because he made a change in his life, he knows he will lose some "friends" because he isn't part of the "cool crowd" anymore. thats what i think,

Holy CRAP! This band is awsome! I agree with you people! Freakin' Amazing Bass player, man... and everybody else too!
Anyways, about the lyrics, it's pretty self-explanitory. They hate war, it is murder, lives shouldn't be taken for lives, and all that stuff. straightfoward lyrics. PBS! |

I know, it's freaking awsome, but, as far as i can understand from this song is that Kezia is recalling a point in time where she was being talked to by her mother, and what she meant when she said, "the warmest of blankets is six feet in soil" probably means that death ( which also means six feet under ) is the only source of comfort. That's all i have thought up so far... so... please do not scrutinize me if i am wrong, i'm just interpreting the song according to my beliefs. PBS! |
