It's about the Felix Maginn (lead) growing up in Northern Ireland on the border between catholics and protestants. The summer always was a time for rioting and protestants marching in catholic area's. Basicly the album is mainly about this theme. Great band, I like em. |

Wow, no reactions yet? This is the greatest song of the ¡Forward, Russia! debut cd, give me a wall. Really love the energy of the vocalists (lead singer and girl) haven't had the time to unravel the lyrics :p It's pretty much about letting this go and losing controll I think Great song 9/10 |

yeah word gets around is definatly one of the greatest SP albums, although they're so hard to compare. This song has a very unique theme in my opinion, the guy is just bored and starts to analyse people, then it gets a bit of a deeper meaning when he wonders if anyone is going anywhere at all. I love the live version of this song (on "live from dakota") where the crowd sings a few lines of the last part. Man I wish they would come and play live in holland again >_ |

Beautiful song, and I agree with your first explanation pippilotta ;) But then I also think this song is meant to inspire people to enjoy the little things in life, and not just wait untill you get satisfied by great events.. but get satisfaction in life along the way.. which is a great thing. |

brilliant song, I love how Stereophonics manage to mix such sad and confronting lyrics and still sound great and uptempo. One of my all time SP favorites. |
