Jimmy Page played the solos. Pete always said his strength wasnt in solo-ing. according to Jimmy, he was told to 'immitate' the sound The Kinks had on the solo for "You Really Got Me" |

lets not forget, he did this song with The Sneaker Pimps.... while in the studio, the Sneaker Pimps walked out because of Manson's arrogance. they also hated the way to song turned out (Manson erased nearly all of the female singing, and focused less on the techno/trip hip aspect of it by ignoring all of thier ideas for the song) one of the members of Sneaker Pimps told MTV that the song sounds like a "musical turd" haha |

this song was recorded for 'Batman and Robin' and was supposed to be recorded with the techno act Underworld. 2 versions were recorded, one was an all-out techno track and the other was a rocker that just featured Rick from Underworld singing the background line (the fute-cha neva happ AH unnd).....Stipe hated the techno version Underworld turned in and after a heated fight in the studio Rick walked out. The label used the REM version (that still featured Rick, but un-credited) but let Underwolrd have a song all their own on the soundtrack. |

this song is a cover tune from The Beach Soundtrack. the original is by Brian Eno i think? anyway there is 2 versions of this song, one is on the soundtrack and the other is an exclusive to the film itself; as its a remix by Angelo Badalmenti and William Orbit...but that remix is nowhere to be found. |

This song is about not wanting to be a 'fictional pop band'. the line "riding on a giraffe for laughs is alright for a while" is saying that its cool to be on this stupid show, but not forever. 'Living Is A Lie' kind of goes along with this too, thier lives on the show are NOTHING like thier lives in real life. really when you think about it, this song is a cry for help! |

where Dave was staying, in New York City, there was a HUGE Guess ad right outside the window of his apartment. everytime he looked out the window all you could see was this 20 feet tall poster of a girl in men's underwear....so he wrote a song about it. 'I'll wait til your love comes down...' kinda like when they take the poster down. pretty corny but hey, its Dave! |

actually this song was a demo called 'It Takes Two' back in 1983 that Eddie wrote for Michael Jackson. acko's song writting team didnt like the 'rock' sound so they didnt use it. the lyrics were a bit different but the overall idea is the same. |
