This song is about the Anti-Chirst and how people brought him about by their own will. The Progeny is refering to the unborn child. Combine that with Apocalypse and you get what? The Anti-Christ. Go back and reread shit dumb asses. NO THIS SONG IS NOT ABOUT SATANISM! In Satanism you DO NOT worship Satan or ANY of the arch angels! Dimmu Borgir is part of a Pagan religion that worships Lucifer and the other arch angels. I cant think of the name of the religion off the top of my head. But you can feel free to Google it. |

This song is about the arch angels. Most of their songs during the time of this release were about them. Refer to Mourning Palace for an example. This is about how the arch angels started to see heaven as corrupt in its perfection. In the sense that perfection is not perfect being everything would be to samey and predictable (kinda like communism). Filled with their hate of the heavens they attempted to over throw god and were banished to hell. *note* Dimmu Borgir isnt a true black metal band. They once were but they changed styles and religious beliefs. Before they just believed there was no true heaven or hell and worshiped the idea of nothingness. Now they worship the arch angels. To understand stand what this song is fully about read up on the arch angels. Primarily the ones who tried to kill god (lucifer and metatron and such). |
