| there are parts of this song that could mean any number of things but the 3rd paragraph talks about the rapture and the second coming of Jesus and if we would recognize him, for an example, i think he was talking about Mahatma Ghandi who tried to "raise the masses" when he gathered poor farmers and peasants and revolted against taxation in non-violent ways, the key to my thinking on this is that Ghandi was shot. (crucified by gun), but then again, so were other great people like martin luther king, and i think Ben was kind of saying if Jesus did come, would people try to kill him like they did Ghandi and Martin Luther King? would we recognize him? | |
