The first verse is just Daniel Johns being depressed on the mic. It sounds sweet though; the guitar and drums hit hard together as they do in most Silverchair songs.
Now in the second verse, I think 'in red weather' is right about being torn between two loves. There's "no room for two" and he "can't handle both of you." Also, "smelling dead roses" is a metaphor for foreseeing the end of a relationship. |

This song is about someone close to Daniel killing themself. My father killed himself and this song really spoke to me and hit close to home. The Indian guitar is very melodic. This is one of the most underrated Silverchair songs. |
