another thing... they may think that believing in this figure that everyone calls God is ridiculous but Jesus is recorded in history books and was known as one of the greatest teachers in history so don't go off and say Jesus in not real and this whole religion thing is bullshit. because this man was real and he was a great teacher... I mean his teachingsare still taught through christianity so please stop saying what I believe in is nonsense. i mean it's what I sincerely believe in so how could I be wrong... especially with a huge portion of the world believes in what I believe.
ok I'm done preaching but seriously this album is very controversal... it's etchy at first but it's easier to understand if you listen and read the lyrics. there are many religious concepts to this album |

Ok enough about religion is bullshit. Religion is the world's way of how ideas are made and this God is real. Cedric and Omar are only saying that all these false witnesses and fake religions and different ideas are crazy and that we should be focusing on what they think is important at the moment. i believe because of society, we all have gotten the wrong picture and we've lost all morals and that there are people out there giving us the wrong idea. as much as I love the Mars Volta, i don't like their religious views but I still respect them and I love this new album. |

I like how the people above are thinking what this songs means because it's exactly what I thought pretty much. I always thought it was some woman getting angry with Jesus because he promised her his blood in the rain and I assume he went back on his promise (I am no longer in love with your lies) so she got angry and made a deal with Satan to find the "real truth" so when she dies she will end in hell. That's really sad. But that's what I think. Any comments? |

hey i know it's hard to understand what theyre are saying for some people but they are at least contributing their thoughts so other people have something to start with. and besides Cedric uses speculative fiction and verbosity so he uses a lot of unnecessary words to describe something. |
