| Nightmare Of You – You're Very Dear To Me Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| love this song, especially how patronising the line "you're so elite with your feminist prose" is. nightmare of you=lyrical genius | |
| Set Your Goals – Mutiny Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"sign our band and we'll write you a chorus. we will use your gimmicks if you think they will sell us 'cause we won't survive without your acceptance. can we be friends?" this part made me think they meant they would use their record label rather than the label using them. but then it also kind of sounds a bit sarcastic as if theyre taking a jab at another band selling out. |

| Casey Jones – Know This X Lyrics | 18 years ago |

im not straight edge or anything but i really respect the people who do it for the right reasons and do it for themselves. i think this song is basically saying screw those people who dont do it for the right reasons. btw, xtragicx, thanks for explainin it to me cos ive never been able to think of a decent reason why people would unless it was for attention or somethin. |

| The Comeback Kid – Broadcasting... Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| when i first heard this song when they put it up on myspace i was a bit worried about the new sound they've taken. now after listening to the album a bit i actually love it and im so glad theyve developed and not just churned out more of the same (amazing) stuff. change is good. | |
| Johnny Truant – I The Exploder Lyrics | 19 years ago |

i think this song is basically a guys feelings after hes broken up with a girl. the first bits probly about how he feels and his anger at it. then im guessin the last parts about how awkward it is when hes in the same room as her, then about the way he looks at her now. just guessin though... |

| Hondo Maclean – Wave (Wave Back They Will) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

nobody's commented? this song is just too good. the part where the screaming joins in with the singing in the chorus is possibly the most beautiful thing ive ever heard. i think this songs definately about going into the afterlife or something. im not aware if hondo maclean are religious at all though so it could just be about dying. |

| Finch – Insomniatic Meat Lyrics | 19 years ago |

firstly, SHTS is one of my favourite albums. its so original and gets better everytime you listen to it. they are amazing song writers. and you don't need catchy riffs to mature. if you want that you can go listen to a7x or somethin equally repetitive. but finch have matured a lot since the first album and have their own unique sound. shame theyve split up now. i also heard finch hated some of their old WIITB material because it was so simple and they felt childish playing it. |

| As I Lay Dying – Meaning In Tragedy Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
im not sure, but i think this song has something to do with being more open minded and questioning what youre taught. The first part ('i have travelled......have lead me here') i think could link with the second part. as i lay dying being a christian band they could be talking about questioning your teachers about telling you there is an afterlife and all the 'meaning in tragedy' stuff. i think the second part could be a political thing but its a bit vague to be sure. maybe the 'compellng us to fight the battles' bit is something to do with questionning the leaders before acting on what they say, which would link in with the open minded thing. |
