| That would be Tymon Dogg. | |
| The Dickies – Banana Splits (The Tra La La Song) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Actually it's the theme from an old saturday morning cartoon called The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. | |
| They Might Be Giants – Whistling In The Dark Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| In the John Waters film A Dirty Shame "whistling in the dark" is used as an epression for performing cunnilingus. Even though I seriously doubt that that is the meaning of the expression in this song it's pretty amusing to interpret it that way. | |
| Skrewdriver – Government Action Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Old song from All Skrewed Up back when they were a fairly decent punk band. Before the whole nazi thing happened. | |
| The Vandals – Lord Of The Dance Lyrics | 19 years ago |

You really have no clue at all. It's a piss take on Michael Flatley. |

| NOFX – Cool & Unusual Punishment Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This has nothing to do with the police at all. It's all about an s&m club. The bit about Osaka jail is probably a dungeon reference. What's not to understand about the ending? Getting spanked by a mistress leaves very telling marks that's hard to explain to a partner, hence one bad deed deserves another (the punishment for unfaithfulness). The dialog in the beginning sounds really familiar. I'm sure it's taken from a movie. Ichi the Killer mabye. I think I'll have to go throuhg my film collection to find it now. |

| Against Me! – How Low? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
To me this song is about getting older and still leading a lifestyle more destructive than your body and psyche can handle and knowing it. Promising yourself over and over again that "from now on things will change". So not addiction per say, but rather being so stuck in a rut that the only thing you really have going for you is getting fucked up. |

| NOFX – The Marxist Brothers Lyrics | 19 years ago |

No offence to anyone but you guys can't be that old if you don't remember Chumbawamba. They used to be an underground band but later on signed to EMI and became an anarcho band for the MTV generation. Needless to say this didn't go down to well with fellow anarchists. Try to find the 7" Barefaced Hypocrisy Sells Records (Anti-Chumbawamba) if you are interested in this shit since it pretty funny. Riot/Clone, Oi Polloi and a bunch of other bands taking the piss out of Chumbawamba. This is why they are mentioned in this song. Along with Rage Against... they are playing music for the fake revolutionaries this song is about. I personally think they just threw the Propagandhi reference in there to get even for Rock For Sustainable Capitalism but what do I know? |
