| My Chemical Romance – Vampires Will Never Hurt You Lyrics

gerard doesn't really strike me as the politically charged type. i think that this song is simply about vampires being evil and scary until you get bitten and become one. then the mortals become the enemies, and you reavaluate your whole perspective. SHAZZAM! |

it's definetly dead. the song is about a singer (hrm, who could that be?) who devotes all his music to his dead lover. he was on tour when she died, and went right from the show to the morgue to ID the corpse. SHAZZAM! |

during the recording of Antichrist Superstar, Manson was always so high, that'd he'd push pins under his fingernails (Albert Fish, much?) to give him feeling. And SinSlave mentioned that insects are pinned into place on display, so Manson uses his pain as a basis of his display. kthnxbye. |

The one eye i think represents the one vision you're allotted by society. You're democrat or republican, gentile or jew, punk or prep, man or woman, pro-life or pro choice. That mascara is her femenimity (sp?) blinding her. Her expectations as a woman that she has to live up to, without a concern for who she is or what she thinks. And the song asks who she sees in the world, but then says she can't see nothing, nothing at all. So she wants to see the world, but is essentially blind to it. |

I think that this song is remembering Coma White, who if you think about the story line, is the reason for the end of the world.
Btw, in his book, Manson says that alot of the imagery in this song is based on his dreams/nightmares.
Also, flies are mentioned a lot in Holy Wood. Just to draw some lines there. Wahoo. |

I agree with Icarus. I think that this song is about Adam becoming Omega, and denying what he originally pretended to believe during his life in Holy Wood.
I mean, I can't deny this God is in the TV concept of the ending of the song, but i think that the verses are about Adam. |

I think the line:
my heart's a tiny bloodclot
I picked at it
it never heals it never goes away
Is my favorite line in the whole song, besides the obvious suicide line. To me, his heart (love, eh? eh?) has become an irritation, rather than a comfort, as love should be, and he wants it to go away, but it just continues to bother him. Poor poor Adam. |

The line "Little gs and big dicks" refers to the obelisks common to Masonic temples and Headstones of Masons. They are Obelisks, with a globe at the top, and the Masonic diamond with the G in it. |

I think the 7 has to do with 555 being man, 666 being the beast, and 777 being God, and perfection. I doubt that Manson believed this to be true, but used it because it's conventional and recognizable. Also, the 7 fits into the rest of the album.
It may also involve the wormboy coming to terms with his role as the antichrist superstar, and what that could mean for him and how people see him. |
