Belle & Sebastian – I Don't Love Anyone Lyrics 19 years ago
To me, there are two ways of looking at this song.

The first way: it sounds like someone might have just asked the narrator why he doesn't love/appreciate them, so in the song, the narrator explains that it's nothing personal -- he doesn't love anyone at all. The person must be kidding themselves ("you're playing with yourself") if they think that the narrator might actually develop feelings for them.

Another way of looking at it, is that the narrator could be a young kid who doesn't have any friends/playmates, and tries to shrug it off by saying that he doesn't love anyone -- he doesn't like people in general -- as opposed to admitting that maybe nobody loves him. (basically what Powdhar said)

John Vanderslice – Angela Lyrics 19 years ago
Uhh, why are there three other song lyrics posted here?

This song is about someone telling a girl named Angela that her bunny ran away, and then using the fact that the animal is gone to convince her that they ought to leave home, too. The story seems pretty straightforward to me, except for the last couple of verses. What exactly is the abandoned warehouse scene? Where do the art dreams come in?

I love the way he sings "maybe those last days of freedom were the best of his life" - it's a nice attempt at cheering up somebody who just lost a pet.
