I felt like it was him comforting his ex because she wants to stay together with him but he wants to move on. He feels really bad but it's unfair to her to keep up the charade. |

I think there are a lot of missing lyrics here. Like the whole "wanna watch me get high" part.
Besides that, I didn't know the meaning of this song until today. Totally changes my point of view of it now. |

Hmm, it's strange. You read those comments of this song from 2002 saying how people don't want Thursday to become famous and now 5 years later, they are a pretty well known band. Yeah. |

I wish I could go back in time and be a cool little 10 year old who listened to Thursday and could have heard this song being performed live. It would have been amazing. Man, it sucks having been born in 1991. |

Yeah, I agree. This album is the most raw, you know? I think the last verse with "the man who stayed" is talking about seeing his dad after coming back from running away and he doesn't like the man his dad is but he himself is becoming what he hates which is his dad.
Agh, I suck with words, sorry. |

Wow, this song may just be the most self explantatory. I think you just have to think about it for a few seconds and then you go "ohhh, it's about touring!"
Yeah. |

| Eisley – Memories Lyrics

Such a sad and beautiful song. It has made me cry numerous times. I always thought the lyrics were really simple. It is about an old couple, and the man loves gardening so much that it makes him cry. He dies, and the wife continues to take care of his garden. But "memories continue to grow," with every new sprout that pop ups.
Then the last paragraph is about her talking to him and "wondering where you are," and he says "Darling, shouldn't I be the one wondering, after all I'm the one who is gone." |

For some reason I think these lyrics are to the fans.
Please say you’ll come along tonight
Please sing the words we love
Don’t say that you forgot them
Don’t keep the hand we’ve come to hold
I know you want to
Untie this rope and let it go
Am I crazy? |
