seems to me the narrator is describing a two-timing chick who he was schemed by. she's using love as a game with another person and by the end the narrator emulates her with a fake apology and mocks her with a real explanation of how her game works and if her ex wants to play again. i don't know but it's a great song. |

It's good the sound and style has changed, because I would have been sick of it right then and there.
I don't think they're mainstream but either way I'm not one of those stupid people who stop liking a band because they care about irrelevant shit like the loads of "14 year old mallgoths" loving them. Who gives a fuck. |

jason mraz should've not change the title, since it's conor's song. however what someone says about or does to a piece of music has no change on what the song was in the first place and continues to be. it can make the song feel less enjoyable for some people, but it remains the same song. why not just disregard it if you don't like it. |

| The Moldy Peaches – Anyone Else but You Lyrics

the line "i don't see what anyone could see in anyone but you" could mean different things. hence, i initally thought it meant exactly what it says... that they don't know what anybody sees in any another person (not particularly romantically, but just literally), with the special exception of that person because they feel they know them so well. although the more universal interpretation would be not seeing what anyone sees in anyone else but that one person, specifically romantically. of course that's probably what it means. |

i really like "its just words they mean so little to me." because words dont quite measure up to what you feel/know from the inside. |

i dunno if it's MSI, but this song is intense. i think it's an attempt to insult self-proclaimed bitches who are, in fact, just representations of actresses with shit acts. it's very angst-filled and i wish a bitch could just punch in the stomach to physically match the rampant emotional angst it fires up inside of me. |

i didnt think this song was about molestation until i only considered it. though even then, it doesnt haunt me and it doesnt arouse emotion in me, because yeah it's about something terrible, but it's conor word's and it's just a song |

i don't think it's too simple either, but i don't think simplicity is a bad thing. kate nash is the only female singer i really like. and she is definitely female LoL. her lyrics are so well strewn together, i think. |

this was very magical the first 10 listens. after you hear a song so many times, it loses it's eargasm points probably due to increased familiarity. i don't know what i just said. |

if you haven't realized, this is one of the more prominent, stand out songs on the album. hence, the lyrics "favourite worst nightmare" (album title) are solely used in it. |

Yo, they think you're dumb.
I think you're smart.
No, wait, I lied-
I think you're dumb.
They think you're dumb.
I think you're smart
No, wait, I lied-
I think you're dumb.
this part, only personally for me, means how some people will call you stupid and others will call you smart, and the lyrics are emphasizing how fucking annoying that is. people puting stamps on how intelligent one is, is a touchy thing for me. i don't know. |

| Bright Eyes – The Difference in the Shades Lyrics

i'm not sure what to think, but this is what i thought. his girlfriend is dying, so now he sees how much he truly loves her. it's as if he took things for granted, because he realized his deep love for her. he says they'll sleep in the garden and do things he should have done more when deep inside he had strong feelings. it didn't seem he did at the time, because in the start of the relationship, when things are fresh and alive, he felt the relationship was more amazing. he didn't realize how much he really loved her until she became ill, and now he sees the difference in the shades (the shades signify darkness). |

very beautiful. conor feels as if the unknown is controling him into what it wants him to be. this makes him feel unreal, like he lacks sincerity, but he then finds authenticity in music and the people he loves. i think every stanza makes a different point, but ultimately relates to the general topic of being genuine. i sort of feel the same connection with the end in the trees all get wheeled away. |

| Bright Eyes – The Awful Sweetness of Escaping Sweat Lyrics

this song sort of reminds me of the vanishing act, because of how he says "escape", and using wine. in the vanishing act it seemed he was writing about wanting to escape from the world. using wine in the song in addition to "escape" kinda makes me think it's a hint that he is correlating the songs together in some way, but maybe not. |

i guess to me it is like he knows they are meant for eachother, but he can't make it complete by being hers, since he doesn't feel like he can be what he knows she wants. he knows it would be incredible if he only changed to be satisfying for her, but he can't help himself do it, even though it's possible. but i don't really know. |

i don't think the ugly organ is better than this one, because just like the ugly organ, i feel like many of the songs as well scream out and hit like a powerful storm. though perhaps the instrumentals on happy hollow make it at least a little more clear said. both albums are unique, which i think came from the jazz instruments, and the cello for the ugly organ. they are both superb and amazing albums and i couldn't choose over one another, lyrically or musically. |
