| Green Day – 21 Guns Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i kind of agree with wndowlicker... knowing Green Day and their stance on war, i would think that because of the 21 gun salute, they're talking about some(one) who died in war. The lines, "do you know whats worth fighting for, when its not worth dying for" kind of makes me think that its someone who died in combat... then the chorus is telling them to lay down their arms... |

| Fall Out Boy – Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown on a Bad Bet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I am a major fan of Fall Out Boy... I have all of the albums they've ever made and this is my favorite song out of any of them. This song definetly shows off how much Patrick's vocals have improved! It is by far a musical masterpiece. This song is an example of how much Fall Out Boy has excelled in almost every area except for their lyrics, which have always been quite clever, but in this song are pretty confusing other than the chorus. | |

| no i cant, but for some eerie reason the song does reminds me of it | |
| Fall Out Boy – 20 Dollar Nose Bleed Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| NO. it is definetly "Preach young addicts straight". I was just about to post that myself. I'm glad someone finally noticed it | |
| Fall Out Boy – 20 Dollar Nose Bleed Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Brendon and Patrick have always sounded like each other and it used to bug me because I've been a lifelong Fall Out Boy fan. I remember when Panic! first came out i was like, "Their lead singer sounds a lot like Patrick Stump," but now i know that they're actually really good friends and Brendon Urie is a really really sweet person. | |
| Fall Out Boy – Homesick at Space Camp Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
i absolutely love this song... the funny thing is that I've been listening to it for at least 2 or three years now and I JUST figured out what i think it means mostly everyone is on the track with my thinking... the band is from Chicago, and i think that its basically about being homesick from all of their old fans and the people who made them so famous. And I can't forget your style Or your cynicism Somehow it was like you were the first to listen To everything we said. "Somehow it was like you were the first to listen to everything we said" is what really makes me believe that. When you think about it, the people in Chicago were the first to listen to everything they said. Even though they cant be there in chicago for their old friends they're going to keep writing, "pages inked to bring you back". That way the "headphones will deliver" them the words FOB cant say.... love it! i own all of their CDs and this was a GREAT album! |

| Boys Like Girls – Up Against The Wall Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
this song totally reminds me of my ex-boyfriend and my relationship... its like when you know your relationship is going to go down (or maybe you dont see it comming at all) and Wham! out of no where your spouse just throws you against the wall... in the end, it makes you wish that you had never loved at all then to be so hurt when its all over with |

| My Chemical Romance – I Never Told You What I Do For a Living Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
these lyrics are so wrong!!! it should be: Stay out of the light, or the photographs that i gave you You can say a prayer if you need to, or just get in line and I'll grieve you.... the next error is... only go so far to bury them so deep and DOWN we go.... geezz... theres a lot of mistakes here... but um... the song its self is good... i love his emotion when he sings it |
|
| My Chemical Romance – It's Not A Fashion Statement, It's A Fucking Deathwish Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
this is a great song probably one of my favorites on the album, but the lyrics are wrong... in the beginning it should be: "do you remember that day when we met" but whatever... close enough.... I love how a lot of their songs (including this one) are about stopping a friend, or a girl in MCRs case, from committing suicide. I know how hard it is to try to keep hanging on and their music is so inspiring... |

| Mindless Self Indulgence – Straight To Video Lyrics | 18 years ago |

MSI is the best... i love their lyrics and their lead singers voice is soooo sexy... i totally agree with harleqinxgirl... they're masters of music |
|
| Mindless Self Indulgence – Big Poppa (Notorious B.I.G. cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
when i first heard this song... i hated it... i thought that they'd compleately ruined the whole thing and that the original was better... but when i listened to it a few more times... i realized that it was compleately insane... kudos to MSI |

| Anti-Flag – Confessions Of An Economic Hit Man Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
this is my #1 favorite song on the album.... my favorite part is: And it goes on and on and on and it goes on and on it goes The iron fist for blood and empire will make you move So dance with me This song should have gone mainstream.... |
|
| Anti-Flag – The Project For A New American Century Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
this is my second favorite song on the whole album... it really shows how we should stand up for our beliefs in government and how its basically all going to go to hell if we dont. its true that you have to either stand up for democracy or never-ending hate... you cant choose both this song is soo meaningful and i wish that it would have gone more mainstream.... |

arent some of the words to this song wrong? I thought it was "Until the sun burns from the sky, and the people are just dust on the ground" |

| Nickelback – Rockstar Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I like old Nickelback... their new stuff sounds kind of Country-ish and the lead singer is getting a little whiney... plus he sounds constipated....... this song is a bad remake of Rock Star by Everclear... 'cept everclear was better. its kind of obvious that both of the songs are mocking the life styles of Celebs... NO CODE... Jimmi Hendrix is cool... but so is Korn Coldplay is a good band too metalhead, but the hard stuff is better. I can easily say that Nickelback has gone downhill in the last 2 years, but their lyrics are getting more meaningful |

| Jimmy Eat World – Hear You Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song is about someone he loved who died. In the lines: thought i might get one more chance he is saying that he thought he might get one more chance to say goodbye. Also, when he says "May Angels lead you in" he means May angels lead you into heaven. what would you think of me now? so lucky so strong so proud never said thank you for that now i'll never have a chance That just means what would they think of him now that they're gone. He never said thank you for making him stronger and now that they died, he'll never have a chance. Its a great song |

| Local H – Bound For The Floor Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think that this song is talking about how no matter how hard you try, nothing is ever good enough so whats the point. Its pathetic how hard you try to impress people and you're just making yourself look stupid. I think that Deladeus basicly nailed this one. You are born to be down and you cant change that fact. like the singer said, "What good is confidence" if you know that you're going to fall down? | |
| Fall Out Boy – I Slept with Someone in Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
okay, believe it or not, i was so obsessed with this song that i named my diary "Hearts Lies and friends". Although it is a good name for a diary because thats what you write about most of the time, Hearts, lies, and friends. I think by the lines: Douse yourself in cheap perfume it's So fitting of the way you are You can't cover it up He means that she cant cover up all of her lies and the bad things shes done no matter what. Like shes fake and everyone knows it no matter how she tries to "cover it up". |
|
| Fall Out Boy – Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i absolutely looovvveee this song. when he says "So wear me like a locket around your throat. I'll weigh you down; I'll watch you choke. You look so good in blue." Hes not really saying she looks good in the color blue, he means that since hes choking her, shes turning blue and he likes the fact that shes suffocating. Also, when he says the line "The hand behind this pen relieves a faliure everyday" i dont think he means 'pen' as in jail pen. I think by that line he litterally means then pen in his hand. I used to think that he said "The hand behind this pen *relieves* a failure everyday" but he doesnt. |

| Anti-Flag – The Press Corpse Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Obviously if you are a republican you wouldnt like most of the songs Anti-Flag likes because they are anti-bush/ anti-government. Regardless, this is my 3rd favorite songs on the album. I think it has a lot of meaning to it. I think this song means that the government wants to talk about all of the good stuff that they are doing, hence the lines: They talk it up all day, talk it up all night Talk until their face turns blue – Red white and blue! But when the truth gets out about what they're doing they dont want to talk about it: But when the truth escapes the night and crawls into the day We find the picture still askew They don’t want to… talk talk talk talk talk about it They want tiptoe, walk around it |

| My Chemical Romance – Thank You For The Venom Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This is my absolute favorite song on Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. I think that Gerard is trying to help the girl in the song try not to commit suicde. "So give me all your poison and give me all your pills and give me all your hopeless hearts and make me ill" The 'make me ill' line always gives me chills whenever i hear it. By that, i think hes saying that he doesnt care what happens to him, so just make him ill as long as shes alright. I think people are looking too far on the whole 'sister' thing. I dont think he's refering to a nun, but just a regular girl. Kind of like how people will call a guy 'brother' and a girl 'sister'. I dont believe that this song is refering to missonaries or anything like that, but the line "Give me a better reason to believe" makes me think that it is about someone trying to convert his faith. When i listened to the song I always thought the line was: "I keep a gun and then book you gave me" not on the book you gave me. |
|
| My Chemical Romance – Hang 'Em High Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I always thought it was Dont Stop if i fall and dont HOLD back but i guess not. this is one of my most Favorite songs on the Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge album. I think Gerard is trying to say no matter what happens to him, carry on and mourn later, hence: "Dont stop bury me and fade to black" |
|
| Lenny Kravitz – Lady Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I loooovvvee this song. I'm pretty sure he wrote it about his daughter, Nichole. hence the words "Little Lady" I might be wrong, but it was just a thought. | |
| Nirvana – About a Girl Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is definetly about his ex-girlfriend Tracy. Theres a biography on Kurt Cobain called Heavier Than Heaven and it tells about this song. The reason he wrote it was because she kept asking why he wrote songs about everything but her so her wrote one (and this was it) but he was too ashamed to tell her it was about her.... read the book, its pretty interesting. | |
| Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Really, Really good song. I wish he were still alive so he could write more stuff like that. | |
| Train – Drops of Jupiter Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It's very obvious that this is a song about the girl he loves going on a 'soul vaction' trying to find herself. As in the phrase " I need to go find myself". I think that hes just imagining her going to the Milky Way "finding herself". And he's basicly asking her if he missed her while she was going there. The phrase: "Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star One without a permanent scar" Means did she fall for another guy while they were taking a break from each other, and if she did, was it one that wasnt going to hurt her later in the future |

| Daddy Yankee – Gasolina Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I dont think that Kanye West really knows what hes talking about. I mean... Is he a Christian or not, because he goes and writes Jesus Walks, and then right after that he sings Gold Digger. That doesn't seem right to me. | |
| Nirvana – In Bloom Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This whole song is really random, but I like it all the same | |
