It's about... indifference.
In other words, it's about people who don't care about things they should.
I love the mellotron in this. |

What are you doing, wasting time looking for others to be friends with/fall in love with, when I've been here the whole time? Can't you see I'll always be here for you? Well if you ever need someone I was always here for you.
God this describes my relationship with a girl so much. |

I think it's about how the most bizarre things can happen to you when you least expect it, and how things change ironically.
and yeah, that ending is the best. |

thekingof7, putting up words that rhyme is what poetry is all about. And in this case, this is urban-style poetry. |

kitty, he says it after "a few of your favorite things."
upon further inspection of the ambience at end, it kind of reminds me of new york city, or more, like september 11. sirens waliling, ppl screaming VERY faintly... maybe if they're dying. |

i do believe its a response to all the controversy revolving their messages and backmasking.
"We're not Satanists, or Christians, or Pagans. We're not religious at all. We just put symbols into our music sometimes, depending on what we're interested in at the time. We do care about people and the state of the world, and if we're spiritual at all it's purely in the sense of caring about art and inspiring people with ideas." |

ok, i tried amplifying the short clip, but it is too indistinguishable to hear anything else.
however, i played the whole song backwards, and eerily enough, some words came out. I heard alot of "elizabeth" and i think near the reversed end, "i'm free from authority"
BUT I'M NO PRO AT THIS. if anyone else wants to try, go ahead.
ps. it sounds quite pretty backwards, really :p |

"I know what you thinkin why I call you me too
Cause everything I say, I got you sayin me too"
I think he's saying poeple are copying him or trying to be like him. or maybe one person in particular. |

Hey, guys. I love this song, but I agree I didn't like how they put it in between to fast songs. And to GeoffK, I don't think the bells were corny, they're to add a melodramatic positive vibe in the song. I think they should've made this a b-side song, but I still like it, more than makedamnsure. |
