| Iron Maiden – Revelations Lyrics | 19 years ago |

The second verse could refer to Genesis and the story of original sin from the perspectie of Adam; "She came to me with a serpent's kiss" -Eve coming to Adam with the honeyed words of the serpent. "As the eye of the sun rose on her lips"-the fruit she brought was of the tree of knowledge, knowlege and the sun are both illuminating. "and so we lay in a black embrace"-Adam and Eve sin together "and the seed is sown in a holy place"-the first sin/seed is committed in a holy place/Eden. "and i wathced and I waited for the dawn"-with this sin began an the dawn of man. This would fit in with otm's ideas on the song about choosing sin. |

| Iron Maiden – Paschendale Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Listen to Aces High and the Trooper. Iron Maiden songs are about heroism of war as well as the futility. to say that they are anti or pro war ignores half of their war songs. | |
| Iron Maiden – Flight Of Icarus Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The song is about more than the Greek myth. It is also about a heroin overdose. Old Man was a term used for heroin when the song was written(as in GNR's mr. brownstone), in the lyrics it mentions the boys eyes as being glazed, and he flys to high is another obvious referance. | |
