I think this is that the songwriter and a girl have a mutual attraction but they can't have each other for some other reasons. She is being more sensible about it and trying to end things before they start, but he can't. He is also coming across as very very infatuated, but for her it obviously wasn't as big a deal. It could be about drugs, but I think probably a girl. Time Running Out refers to... maybe he is only prepared to wait so long then he will know he has to move on. Almost like an ultimatum to the girl. |

I think this is about a girl who, yes, is high maintenance - 'I can't keep up with you'. But I think the bubbles refer to the girl crying - 'You are creating all the bubbles at night'. I think the bubbles are perhaps due to rumours or speculation about another girl that she is hearing. The songwriter is trying to quash these with the girl - 'We Don't need to trust a single word they say' 'It's time to consider this baby is a sinner' I think this refers to the other girl, that she is perhaps spreading the rumours to try and break the couple up and keep the guy for himself. That's how I read it. |

This song is a great snap-shot about relationships. I think it is how you'd make excuses about people, ie. Age. Love the line... I don't know if Beth has all that much confidence, and I think she is image concious. BUT she has what a voice and is born to perform. She is totally different on chat shows to what she is like on stage. Really is like a different person. Think this song could be about when friends try to warn you of the right people or wrong people you may go out with. A lot of that advce is ignored and has to be spelt out to you a lot of times! Hence the whole 1,2,3 etc. |

The lyrics to this are just genius. The Arctics truly are great at penning a song. I think the song is about relationships but rather than getting old it's about the singer getting dumped. Although at the time he was gutted he now thinks he's better off and she has made the mistake and is now in a boring relationship. The last laugh lane lyric meaning that although she thought she had the last laugh that is now not the case. |

I think it's pretty cool the way luke sings instead of 'you're so beautiful' ... 'you're so kind of hot'. It's like beauty is an inner thing, but being hot is just a physical feautre so it's like saying I don't think you're beatiful any more, but you're obviously a fit bird. |

I think this song is about when you feel you have abandoned your friends cause you're seeing a girl and trying to get your friends to accept the girl as one of their friends. 'And I will do my best Just to get under her dress' This is like when guys talk about 'ahem' getting the job done when they're out on the pull. 'The city heated up it It got blurry cause I'd had enough' I think this is about sex - heated up, started having sex. blurry - the 'end' part. But also, when the relationship starts getting on a bit further and you realise that is is. 'But didn't realise you keep it in a different hole ' But my mates can't do that for me as they aint girls. 'And I was looking for you' It's so difficult to find someone at a concert if you get split up. The 1st time I listened to the lyrics I thought 'myspace' - obviously this kina made them and I don't know when the song was written. 'you better give me some pointers' how to actually set up a space. 'you are the big rocket laucher and I'm just the shotgun' myspace will launch 1000 bands but they are just one. 'all your stories are stale' all the comments on a page are similar 'though you pretend to stand by us, you're certain we'll fail' - it doesn't take much to invest a few seconds adding a band but it's hardly a big commitment that you think the band will go somewhere. That's what I think anyway. ' |
