| Limp Bizkit – Behind Blue Eyes (The Who cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I personally can't stand Limp Bizkit's original compositions. However, when it comes to the cover of this song, I think that they did a good job. I listened to the Who's version, but the way that Townshend abruptly ended each line kind of threw the emotion out of the song, in my opinion. The tone of Durst's voice gives the song a sort of creepy emotional feel to it, and his voice has a sort of grungy sound when it gets to the "But my dreams they aren't as empty..." part. |

| Phil Collins – In The Air Tonight Lyrics | 19 years ago |

When it comes to the true meaning of the song, only Phil Collins knows for sure. So the best we can do is take his word for it. As for the song, the beginning of it is sort of mysterious and creepy, it grabs your attention. Then at around 3:40 into it, the drums kick in and kick ass. That has to be the best use of drums I have ever heard in a song. Sends chills down my spine everytime I hear it. Once the drums kick in, Phil's singing and the whole mood of the song gives you the feeling of "Screw it, I'll make you regret this." |

| Seether – The Gift Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
My take on this is an overly-used description, however in this instance, I think that it is right. I think this song reflects Shaun's substance abuse problem. He feels ashamed, and doesn't think that he deserves Amy's love, since he can't seem to get rid of the problem, and always seems to be consumed by it when he's around her. What led me to this conclusion (along with the lyrics) is that Shaun just recently left his tour to go to rehab, and Evanescence came out with a new song titled "Call me when you're sober", which is obviously directed towards Shaun. |

| 3 Doors Down – Landing in London Lyrics | 19 years ago |

The song is great, Brad and Bob's voices really blended well together. So well, that at times you couldn't tell that two people were singing. I wish Seger would have gotten a little more solo time, as his voice is perfect for this song. As far as the meaning, it is about someone who spends a lot of time on the road, away from home. They miss their family, and want so badly to see them and spend time with them. I think this song perfectly describes what many truck drivers go through. I'd like to see what it would sound like with Bob Seger doing it solo. If he were to sing it with the same emotion that he did here, then it would have the potential to be even better than the original. |

| Metallica – Enter Sandman Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Metallica ruled the 80's as far as Metal is concerned. There were other Metal bands that were amazing, sure, but for some reason Metallica comes out as my favorite. Out of all of their songs, this one is by far my choice. The way James sings it is what makes it so great. Sure wish Metallica would start making more albums like Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. To anyone who doesn't like this song: You are entitled to your opinion, but you really should consider getting mental treatment! |

| Fuel – Hemorrhage (In My Hands) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think the idea that it is referring to a relationship fits well with the lyrics. However, it could also be spun to reflect a relationship between an individual and their parental figure. 7bo7benn7 summed that theory up fairly well, so I will not bother rewriting it. The lyrics to this song are amazing, but even more amazing is the melody. It is a greatly played song on behalf of the band, and an amazing vocal performance that fits perfectly with the music. |

| Seether – Driven Under Lyrics | 19 years ago |

It is a good song, no doubt. The best part to me is when the guitar kicks in heavily before "Then she told me she had a Gun." As far as the meaning, I don't think that it is related to Cobains death. Shaun is a huge Nirvana fan, and would probably feel strongly about Cobains death, but the idea just doesn't fit fully. The song rocks, by far my favorite Seether song. |
