These were all great explainations and they made me think of the song a bit more, but i still see it differently than any of you, not to mean any disrespect. the child that he is talking to is actually the fasade(did i spell that right?) he has created of himself. his "alter-ego" or the image of hisself that he is trying to portray. he is so used to acting out this character he wants to be (dont scratch your head we all do it) that he is struggling to keep a grip on who he really is. hence "tell everyone in the world that i'm you" and "you saw the product, why cant you see that you are my child/mind." thats my opinion, but the beauty of the song is that whatever it means to us individually, that is the reason why we love the song. my favorite of toxicity. |
