Urgh! It's not political! It's not about diamond mines in Africa! And it's not funny! Islands are not the Unicorns! It's a different band! Yes, Nick is in it, but even he doesn't want to be coasting on the same old fame from the unicorns. so even if the Unicorns do have a morbid humour (which is NOT in every song of theirs) that doesn't mean that you should believe the same of Islands. And for this song, it has one of the best messages ever! as far as I'm concerned anyway. And I can't even begin to try to explain it. All of you are either paying no attention to the deep meaning or thinking way to fuckin hard into what it's SUPPOSED to mean. It's foolish! |

the line is "would divorce what was wed above", so myimaginaryband is correct. also, although your interpretations may be right, you're making it lose its meaning by thinking about the words way to hard. i personally never found it about the music industry or even a break-up. |

I agree with blink182addict/xxomfg_its_erinxx the most. But there's no proof that it's really about a long distance relationship. and its more then any kind of love related song. You people think about the words way too much. this is a very well written song. It has a great melody and energy. and it holds a lot in its meaning. |
