It so SO about date rape. OMFG, it is about date rape! "You look so cute when you're frustrated" a struggle. "You look so cute when you're sedated" or he drugged her. And for fuck's sake he says, "I'm raping all around me"!!!
I think it's portraying a date rapist from their prospective. "I'm resenting a position that's past resentment" he's feeling bad about something that is so wrong, it is beyond just feeling kinda bad.
But, in conclusion, it is most definetely about date rape. Or just plain rape. Unwilling sex in general. Not that any of the members of Interpol would have to. |
