Its walk this way the second time in the original version and I know this song by heart so I don’t think there is no more arguing on that account. But the run dmc version has talk this way and now when aerosmith perform if they to go talk this way for some reason… I don’t know why maybe they find it kool. Someone was saying that it’s a rap song now all of us know there are 2 versions. But a friend of mine was also sayin that he this the original is a little like a rap kind of a thing. I don’t know why ppl say that… Personally I think all songs with fast lyrics don’t mean rap… |

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN is really the best rock and song ever. I made my little sis listen 2 it and she loves it and she is like 10…. Christ what on earth makes you think a wizard will have anything to do with Christ…. They seem 2 be on the opposite sides…. Lort really does not care about any religion most of its characters and races have been taken from folk tails of England b4 Christianity got its ass there. To wipe out by beloved pagans…. Now the god should be the one who is calling people to reason cause reason is suppose to be a good thing right….. so piper is the god taking ppl to there death like that piper in that medieval story in which he frees the ppl by killing all the rats and then later kills all the ppl to. The god does this by making you pay for your sins because basically the satin functions under god and runs the hell for him. So that is the kind of thing god will do kill u if u don’t pay him. (and no one pays him) The two paths… If u die ur sole still remains and u will be reborn on earth again and again so every time you are born you get the opportunity to listen to the whispering wind instead of the god of reason and the wind will actually take u to heaven. But its sound is faint and the pipers tune is humming in your head and it wont go. But at this moment our messenger from the other side (whoever has written this song) Actually tells the lady that your stairway lies on the whispering wind. Now I am mad so anyways This is what I make out of it. There is this rocker who has lost his life in drugs and you know the usual stuff which comes with rock n roll. Till a day came when he did not even feel like touching his guitar anymore. Now this is when he thought he has to do something about getting shit back on track in his life. His brothers girlfriend owned this bookstore and had once offered his to join it like 2 years ago when he was all sober and shit. So anyways he try’s taken this job again and for some weird ass reason she still gives him the job. He starts working there and then something amazing happens this girl walks in and joins the shop. He falls in love with her within a week thou somewhere he knew he should not but anyways he did. They had a great time like an amazing one and this shop was the prettiest place one could dream of. Great lighting great books and great music playing in the background and hardly any customers. He got a reason to get up everyday in the morning coz he knew he would get 2 see her pretty face. He even quit getting high for those 2 months. But there has to be a “but” right and well anyone who had the time 2 read it so far has been waiting for it. But they were like really different from each other weather it’s the way they have grown up or religion or lifestyle or whatever. Anyways after 2 month both of them were being forced to work there and so they decided to quit the guy did not ask her out or something scared of fucking it up but the one thing in life he gave a fuck about was keep seeing her somehow or the other she has turned into the only reason he was alive so after that he called her up like a week later and she said the world has come between us Our lives have come between us Still I know you just don't care And he said what about Breakfast at Tiffany's (mind u the movie is based on a book) and the catcher in the rye. And he hated shit when things got over. But then that was it she went back 2 that perfect world she had come from and the guy well he went back to doing and being nothing. Wild I can’t believe u read it. |

Predictable my ass…. Led Zeppelin has some great tracks. In fact each one of them is amazing and I really love 'nobody’s fault but mine' and 'BABE I'M GONNA LEAVE YOU' but come on there are not better than Stairway. You can try and look different by saying stupid things and trying to act smart but still stairway is the best. |

People normally come here to look for meaning of songs. But I don’t think loads of people give a dam about this old rock and roll track forgotten with time it seems. It saddens me to see no one has pasted comments on such a beautiful song. Now this is what it means to me. This guy who has written it is in love with someone he can’t really somehow go out with. And he wishes that today would be the day that he can shout it out let her know how much he cares for and what he can do for her to start with. The nice part is the irony in it. He says it as if it’s today that he has realized how much he gives a fuck…. But actually he is wishing that today be the day that she sees how he feels about her in his eyes. He wishes there is a mutual understanding between them without the need of words. And ones that she understands it he shows her the other dimensions of him self and do all he can for her. |
