Okay, there are 32 pages of people saying stuff so if I repeat any ideas I haven't read, I'm sorry. I listened to this song a lot thinking about what it could mean and I think it's about someone losing their faith after some horrible event takes place in their life. I'm a bit shakey on it but I think it's at least close. Wake up, grab a brush and put on a little makeup is either just doing your usual routine like nothing's wrong or it means you're fancying yourself up to make it seem like everythings okay and putting on makeup could be hiding how you truly feel, it's pretty much the same either way Hide your scars to fade away the shakeup goes with the makeup thing, something serious and rattling happened but you don't let anyone know that it's bothering you. Why'd you leave the keys upon the table? Here you go create another fable I'm guessing means that someone said they were going somewhere(church, mayhaps) but they didn't even bring their keys so they make up lies to make it seem as though they did or at least meant to do what they said they were doing I don't think you trust in my self righteous suicide I think should be taken less as a self righteous suicide like a terrorist bombing and more as his self righteouses suicide, as in killing the part of him that believed and apparently someone doesn't think it's a good idea and wants him to continue believing, which is why he hides his true emotion and lies about where he's going I cry when angels deserve to die I think should also be taken a little more literally, like actual angels meaning that something so bad has happened in his life that he just hates heaven and the thought of it so much that angels should die, and if something this extreme happened surely you would cry I think the part where he's screaming FATHER although only containing one word has a lot of significance, like after this terrible event occurs he just ends up screaming at God in a why? why did you let this happen kinda way? The next lines back this up by him saying that he gave God total devotion and trusted him with his heart and soul and all he got in return was the cold shoulder, as his life crumbled to the ground no divine intervention helped this religiously devoted man so he lost faith sorry it's a bit long, but this is what I think and if you think I'm wrong, please tell me, I'm interested in knwing the meaning of this song P.S. don't tell me what the band said because I have reason to believe they're lying to make us think |

| I'm not sure what it means, but I don't think we have to limit our search for meaning to drugs or more specifically marijuana, I think that System of a Down lies about the meanings of some of their songs to make people think for themselves, and if they just take the band's word for truth then they don't deserve to know the true meaning. Now don't get mad at my opinion here, they're just a band that like to make people think for themselves and they know that we'll let them do our thinking for us if they simply tell us what song's mean, but telling us a lie makes us think more because now we have a biased view on the matter, again all this is just my thoughts, if you think I'm wrong then disregard this and say more about marijuana | |

| I think PersonMan92 got the organ donor thing right, I just think that instead of meaning there are so many people and so few organ donors, it means that there are so many people, but so few care about other people, meaning that people kind enough to donate, or do any other selfless act, are rare. | |
