i completely agree with sparkly-pink-fairy. honestly the promiscuity in this society is bull and those that promote it are half as dumb as this artist. honestly what ever happened to morality. now its just sex violence and getting drunk/stoned. that's not what life's about....never mind about the lecture i'm just talking to dumbasses anyway. |

this is all about personal interpretation and to me i think it's like when you want to give up and having everything keep you here that you just want to break off but also i think he just wants to get away from the world and stop having to face the problems this world has. honestly i think it's a wonderful piece and into the ocean to keep swimming endlessly to find something that is of value |

i think this is about how hurtful his girlfriend was and he's not taking it easy and he's trying to do everything he can to make it all better because he might of not been the easiest to live with and his mom is just making sure that he's still alive |

i don't like this song at all, it's atrocious and the thing is that i mean it's great to explore cultures but so what? there's more to life don't get me wrong she's great and away from the love genre but poor topic choice and the thing i don't like is that she mentions these girls in hollaback girl and rich girl. it's really not good |

| John Denver – Christmas, Like A Lullaby Lyrics

this is such a beautiful song, i can relate to it from the second paragraph: It's morning in Australia; In fact it's Christmas day
And Colorado never seemed so very far away
Back where night has fallen and it's still Christmas Eve
And snow is on the mountains where I always hate to leave
being from Australia born and raised and then moving to CO at age 10 but the thing is that it's a pacifist song and without war let's celebrate together as a family and dwell the real meaning of Christmas |

WHY DO THEY ALWAYS SEND THE POOR? ok listen SOAD... people who are rich don't want to fight and so the people who are poor are the only ones available and our stupid president entices them to fight by providing this so-called money. |

i think it has to do with the fact that you have to make sacrifices in your life and choosing the best path for you and you'll meet opportunities in your life you can either take or abandon. the ticket to heaven symbolizes the easy way out of all this but you have to do one favor in order to obtain it |

i think this can be interpretted as either a political song or a song about relationships with parents. 1) with politics, Don’t tell me what to think 'Cause I don’t care this time. we have so many policies around the world and to say this kind of comment is rare because a lot of us abide by the rules so we don't ruin our reputation. and the schools nowadays especially private religious schools push religion down our throats and beliefs that are far-fetched. 2) again with the same line Don’t tell me what to think
Cause I don’t care this time so many times our parents tell us what we should think and over-ride our beliefs so this is sorta to tell them that "hey we're gaining independence so you won't be there to catch us when we fall." |

i agree 100 % with the line, "The backbone of this country's broken", being an aussie and hearing this to seeing what the country now is the statement makes sense. there are so many immigrants (mainly asians) who have come in and totally destroyed our country but that's not the main point. the main point is that this line also represents those who have died on our soil those who wanted to see australia triumph in wars and we take it for granted. what sort of people are we? |

this song shows that us white people have a lot to answer for. we go into another nations thinking we discovered it and we've driven the indigenous out. this is a wonderful and shows a meaning close to my heart! |
