Pink Floyd – Scream Thy Last Scream Lyrics 18 years ago
I don't think the lyrics ever made sense. Syd's genius has always been in part his child-like rhymes and this is a perfect example. But the true genius here is the chipmunk voice. It's awesome and gives the whole thing a cool spooky vibe, much like a cute doll or a clown in a horror movie.

Don't you hate when your post doesn't show up for like 10 minutes so you do it again?

It's Pink Floy'ds Kokamo! God I hate this song! Out of the band's otherwise fantastic back catalogue, this is the lowpoint (even lower than the howling dog on Pompei and the unneccesary opera nonesense at the end of The Wall.)

Pink Floyd does Kokamo! God, I hate this song! Out of Pink Floyd's otherwise fantastic catalogue this is undoubtedly the lowpoint (even lower than the howling dog in Pompei and the unncessary operatic horeshit Trial at the end of The Wall album. Roger, you should have saved this for Pros and Cons of Hitchhicking, or one of your other completely forgettable solo albums. Long live Dave Gilmour!

Pink Floyd – A Great Day for Freedom Lyrics 18 years ago
I love Gilmour's singing and guitar playing, but as these lyrics prove, he was the heart and soul of the band, but not the head. Musically, the Division Bell is one of PF's finest albums. But imagine how great it could have been with Roger Waters' pen!

Syd Barrett – Stanley The Simpleton Lyrics 18 years ago
This is not a Syd song, it's been proven a hoax. Check any Syd/PF site to verify. Nonetheless, as Roger Waters said of Pink Floyd's post-Waters Momentary Lapse of Reason album, it's a "clever forgery."

Television Personalities – Ex-Girlfriend Club Lyrics 19 years ago
The lyrics actually say "you give me a heart attack" but in the singer's thick English dialect it comes out sound "you give me art attack." Also, the lyrics are "I'm still Danny from the blocks." (not Daddy). The band's writer and leader is Dan Treacy, whose most famous song was "I Know Where Syd Barrett Lives" in the 1980s. Treacy himself just got out of jail and fans of the Television Personalities staged a benefit concert to raise funds to pay for studio time so he could put out this new album "My Dark Places." People either love it or really really hate it, since it's quite minimalistic and many of the tracks sound like most band's reject outtakes. But the album definitely grows on you, especially tracks like "Special Chair" and "All the Young Children on Crack," which is a strange, strange song with a backbeat which sounds just like Queen's "We Will Rock You." The Television Personalities, for what it's worth, were Kurt Cobain's favourite band.
