When uses the flying bugs and birds to refer to his mother, I think he is creating the image of her "flying" into the sky, like going up to heaven after she passed. Or she is still flying around like an angel after her death. |

I picture a highway with farms on both sides, as the "green aisles"... I think this song is about the "careless lifestyle" of youth, and the feeling of freedom that comes with it too |

doorknobten... pinklemonade is right that Chris sings that verse. Jay wrote the song, yes, but Chris leads in that little part. |

One more thing: I think there is another syllable in that line that says "i've a pretty sound mind to go". it almost sounds like "i've a [my] pretty sound mind to go", but obviously that makes no sense. I am really bad at deciphering lyrics, but I can tell when a line just doesn't fit, and that one as it stands doesn't. |

I think this song is about a good relationship coming to an end. He's asking himself what went wrong, when it seemed like they "had a good time".
This is probably my favourite track off Tomboy, along with Slow Motion. |

I personally really enjoy the Beach Boys' golden time, which I think is centered around "Pet Sounds". Also, maybe check out Brian Wilson's "SMiLE". It may not be sample and repetition based as Panda Bear, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it. |

This is my second favourite off the album... after Derek. My favourite thing about this song is the change between the main singing riff at the beginning, in a faster, 3/4 beat, and at the end, when it has a half time feel, in a 4/4 style rhythm. I've never heard a band do that before... it's unbelievable. |
