Actually on "Left for Live", John explains the meaning of the song. It's a song dedicated to his pet spider which had died a couple of days prior to him writing the song. "This one's for Doris the spider, it's called Boris the Spider." |

To me, this part "Over thinking, Over analyzing, Severing the body from the mind" really touched me. Suffice to say, that if one overanalyzes oneself, rationalizes every move and decision one makes, a sort of prison is built to isolate one's dreams, thoughts, from one's physical movements and actual happenings. One thinks and analyzes too much to have any time or chance left to DO something, effectively severing the body from the mind. |

Just a comment on the people praising JE here; if you actually listen to the bass line throughout the song, you'll likely notice that it's anchored on ONE note. That's also why JE hated it himself. That doesn't mean he's any worse though. |
