I think that this song is about a guy and a girl in a realationship going through hard times.The guy wants to stay together, and says anything the girl wants to hear just to escape a fight or sumthin. I think the chorus is saying how the the relationship is getting bad, or "going down", but not without a fight at least on the guys part. Then the second verse is they broke up. But i think that the girl had someone on the side and the guy knew so they calle dit quits, though the boy still liked her. He wants to be with her but she doesnt want him and so hes jealous of the new person. O and i kinda got a clue about what i think from somehting i read in a magazine. Pete said that he and his gf brokeup because he was on tour and she couldnt deal with it anymore. So they brokeup over the fone i think it was. (i dont have the interveiw in front of me so sorry if im wrong) Then all his feelings about the situation came out in this sone. Finally sorry that i most likely repeated stuff 80 times. |
