Just a small comment about a couple of the lines. "Keeps his cigarettes close to his heart". I always took this to have a dual meaning. Firstly, that he literally keeps his cigarettes close to his heart (in the front pocket of his shirt or jacket). But also in contrast to "she" mentioned in the next line, "he" (typical male who can't even directly express real emotions) doesn't care much about sentimental things like photos. Simple and sort of silly, but one of my favorite Nirvana songs and one of my all time favorites. |
