i think its more about a type of girl, yea the groupie type.
but u dont have to be in a band to have groupie girls after u
its kinda about a guy being objectified by women i thinks
almost like the woman is a cat and sees "something" that looks really fun to play with. |

To me this song is about escaping from the greedy business world where everyone is after the silver.
But not alone..
Take her by the hand, take her to the new land.
Your friends can make it without you. Its in their power to find it if they want to. |

It means alot... 1 thing i get from it is about the rape... the chances of her actually being his mother and him not noticing this is very slim.. it was probably some random woman, but thats not the point. When men treat women wrong, they are wronging their mothers and sisters as well.. this guy just comes to terms with it after its too late and he has lost his soul trying to gain the world. |

The soilder realizes that God doesnt want us to murder, so the Sky Pilot is a hypocrite and mabeye by never reaching the sky, it could have a double meaning where he never actually has to do any of the dangerous work, and he will never reach heaven. |

| Tool – The Pot Lyrics

In my opinion this song has a simple, yet deep meaning.
Its about hypocrisy, and people being judgemental, waving their fingers at others. Noone is perfect so anyone who waves their finger at anyone is a hypocrite. "You must have been high" is very ironic, because its an example of hypocritically criticizing hypocrites :) |

| Iron Maiden – The Number Of The Beast Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
This song seems to be about a man being haunted by demonic forces in his dreams.
Then after some time he becomes posessed by the devil, perhaps becoming somewhat of a "beast".
While this is going on, he resists, but begins to doubt reality, and ends up being drawn into hell, posessed by the devil. |
