regardless of intended meaning, i can't help but think of one thing when i read these lyrics...that feeling you get when you're losing hope on something/someone, but you just want to know the truth either way because you're emotions have already become as low as they can and you may not want to admit it - but there's still that chance of hope. this is a great song either way - the music is perfect for the lyrics. |

this song i love. i love the calm sound to it - and i get a pretty obvious message...i dont know if anyone else sees it. regardless of WHERE parkdale is i think the emphasis lies perfectly in the line "we almost forgot every building is a shop, every person is a shopper..." living in a consumer or "magazine" neighborhood (which we all really do and are frequently reminded of) and forgetting altogether in a short span of peace. don't know if thats what the intention was - but i can definitely see it and relate for sure. |
