I just heard this song tonight when I saw a very powerful contemporary dance coreographed by Mia Michaels on So You Think You Can Dance. It was preformed amazingly well, and I think it related to the song well. The inner struggle of love. such an amazing song. |

i love mcfly but i can honestly say that i hate this song. they could have done so much better. better lyrics. and if they dont want tobe labeled a "boy band" then they should stop doing "oooo" stuff it was bad enough that they were in Five Colors In Her Hair. I mean seriously that is what kills their music for me. i like all their other stuff...its just that as they grow up their music doesnt...and it should. |

I am most likely completely wrong but here is my guess... everyone knows (hardcore fans do anyway...) that his old girlfriend was pregnant with his baby when she killed herself. so with that information I am going to guess what this song is about. "my breathing races when you mention blue" maybe that is like blue (positive) on a pregnancy test. and the "run quick switch sides" is how they would fight alot. hmm...and then "Cut it out for me this time" is that he was upset that she killed herself AND the baby. He might be suggesting that she should have at least saved the baby "cut it out" like our of her stomach. its just a metaphor. and then the whole sex thing is how he got he pregnant...just because at some point during the sex he did it from behind doesnt mean it was with a guy...you can do that with girls too. so that is my guess....im probably wrong. |

the beginning does sound like The Middle. This is one of my favorite McFly song because Dougie did such a great job writting it and I think he should sing more often. He has a great voice. When I saw their concert and met them at Universal City Walk Dougie seemed so shy on stage but he still sang perfectly in Too Close For Comfort. |
