This song is so dark and powerful yet uplifting. Only a few songs have touched me this way like Nutshell, Angry Side, Excess Baggage, King For A Day, Skeleton Song and Kitchenware and Candybars. Scooter Ward is such a great singer, lyric writter and musician. This is one of the reasons why i am so sad that Cold is no more, great emotional, non-emo songs like this, Ugly, bleed, Cure my tragedy and a different kind of pain. Hopefully When November Falls will be as good as this and i have faith that it will because of the tracks i've heard from them already. Cold will forever have a pulse because of their fans and immortal tracks like this. But as long as Scooter Ward is singing and writting the lyrics, I doubt that we will be disapointed

Scooter Ward is the Layne Staley of this generation. Just like Layne, he can capture every emotion with, not only his lyrics, but his voice. Pain, anger, sorrow, fear, hate, love. Everything. Boy am I a sucker for a good ballad.
I just bought this cd over the summer after I moved from DE to CO, Cuz I had nothing better to do over the summer since I didn't know anybody. I feel in love with this cd because I have a soft spot for good ballads and great melodies. But this song, Back Home and Anatomy of A Tidal Wave each have a special place in my heart because they captured what I was feeling at the time when I bought this. Back Home reminded me of my friends and the girl that I loved back home. I wanted someone to take me all the way back home. AOATW represents this girl that i feel in love with as soon as I saw her when school started. But I still had feelings for this girl back in DE. I don't know how or what to say to this girl cuz I think shes too beautiful for me and plus she's a junior and i'm a freshman. I can talk to her about anything except for the feelings I have for her. And this song is about this other kind of pain i have. I really liked the girl back in DE and she really liked me, everyone knew it. I knew she liked me, she knew I liked her, but i couldn't go out with her cause I was moving. Then after i moved, i met this girl and start having feelings for her. I can't talk to the girl in DE cause I'm in CO and i can't talk to this new girl cause I'm too goddamn shy. It's confusing shit, I know. I'm trying to figure out what to do. I need one night with here all to myself to tell her how much I love her. i've lost all control and I think about her all the time. I don't care if it takes my whole damn life, i'm gonna find away to talk to her. I wish and pray every day that I'll find the courage to talk to her. I wish on a fallin' star. i wanna be that person to hold her and take her away from negativity, pain and suffering. I wanna show her how much I love her.

This is my all-time favorite song and my all-time favorite band. Every time I hear this song I love it even more. I puts chills down my spine whenever i hear. it was the first aic song i knew all the lyrics to and one of the songs that got me into aic. Why did Layne have to die?No band can write anything near this underrated master piece. Layne's music was as beautiful as it was dark, as angry as it was uplifting and was pure and simple, great. Heroin took control of him so he could not be his own, so hopefully he's feeling better dead, rocking with Hendrix, Cliff Burton and John Bonhem in roc'n roll heaven.
