As another Aussie (whoot) the meaning is pretty obvious! Its just an Aussie traveling, and all around the world people are just like 'Hey wow your an aussie' From other comments on here, we are obviously a strange and rare species. BTW, its barbie, not bobby, to whoever said that. As in fire up the barbie, put a shrimp on the barbie....like barbeque. Fried out kombi, is a hippy van. Zombie is pot. He's obviously stoned, then he meets a 'strange' lady, but she turns out to be nice. I think the women glow is just stating that aussies are relaxed, suntanned etc, whilst men plunder is an obvious reference to the penal colonies that were here. Vegemite is vile! Smell taste everything. Chunder is vomit plain and simple, and after drinking a lot of beer (another Aussie 'thing') people tend to spew. Then the den etc, is more drugs....... |

I have always heard a high school reunion in this .. The first bit is like shes finally made it in the real world, and she gets to go back to her reunion and get back at everyone who 'got her' in high school. Then the overachiever thing. Just because your good at school, doesnt mean that your better then me. Then she goes through a list of more people in her year at school. I dont think this is herself, but other people who she disliked. Those who could only be checkout chicks Then shes kinda saying, Yeah you hated me but who turned out better! Bull yeah! List of people again Then she laughs at the people who thought they were her firends but knew nothing about her. I love this song.....so my life. I love the suburban sickness part (better keep a healthy distance) And I hear Take that, Met your match. |
