I do believe this song is about Jerry Lee Lewis. He married his cousin, Myra Gale Brown, when she was only 13. These lyrics seem to suggest that anyway, see: It burned like a ball of fire (one of JLL's most popular songs) When the rebel took a little child bride (when he rocked the world by marrying Myra) To tease yeah so go easy yeah But nonetheless, it's one of my more favorite songs by Billy Idol. And I mean that video...wow! i don't really think about JLL when I hear the song either. |
