It's about two people who haven't yet gotten or never will get the chance to see their love happen. For whatever reason, it just didn't get there in the time that they had. Maybe they went to different colleges, got different jobs, families moved. They're still in contact, just not as close any more. Whatever. He still holds on to the hope that it might still work out, even if they see other people in the meantime. God, I wish I didn't have to know what that has felt like for the last 4 years. |
