Evanescence – My Immortal Lyrics 19 years ago
In my humble opinion, this is one of the most beautiful songs ever written, and the melody is very powerful as well.

To me, it is about a lost loved one that continues to "linger" and haunt the life of this person. Amy Lee's talent to sing, play the piano, and perform this song is just about as high and expression of human emotion through music as can be humanly achieved. I am looking forward to seeing her and evanescence in concert in October (06).

Luther Vandross – Dance With My Father Lyrics 19 years ago
This is a beautiful song. My father is getting old now, so the song teaches me to appreciate as much as I can while he is still on this earth. It will probably express my exact feelings if (when) that day comes. Although I am no cry baby, this is definitely one song where I have to fight to hold back tears for the inevitable.

Norah Jones – I've Got To See You Again Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is about wanting to see a stripper. I was kind of surprised that Norah would sing about this, but I suppose it makes sense that the song was written by a male.

Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb Lyrics 19 years ago
The song is a conversation between a Doctor for the band, and a performer who has achieved his childhood dreams, and has lost the will to perform any further.

Queensrÿche – Silent Lucidity Lyrics 19 years ago
The song is a Father's loving response to his son (or daughter's) nightmare ... the child dreamed about his father's death. The song is written to respond to the child, and uses "lucid dreaming" as a state at which he or she can overcome this fear. The song is also a statement that reassures the child that "no matter what happens, I will always be there for you, you don't need eyes to see"
