| Sevendust – Live Again Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think something happened that made a person decide to not be around another person because of their choices in life. Example: the pain you feel that I ignore, I turn my face and then you see nothing (meaning he won't be there for them when they are down) Confused, you turn and live on. (the person who is forced to choose their lifestyle vs. a friend is confused why the other is making them choose, but continues to live that lifestyle) Look at yourself and live again If you don't change you'll be nothing. (so he wants this person to change) I think people miss the meaning of the song due to these lyrics: "How many times have you looked At yourself & felt mistreated How does it feel to know that This life of yours is real All of your life you've been led To believe your nothin' So look at yourself and start to live again" I think it's added in the song because the singer is saying don't you know that you're better than the way that you are acting and the lifestyle you're chooosing, etc.. So, it's not about someone with a poor selfish image!!! It's about someone who can't stand being around someone who chooses to live a bad lifestlye b/c it possibly brings them down too. So, the person who is singing is asking this person to change or the singer won't be there to comfort them when they fall. I hope that's understandable, lol. |

| Deftones – Change (In the House of Flies) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| To me this song is about manipulating someone and being responsible for someone changing. I get this impression because when you set someone on the glass it means you're basically dissecting them (not literally, but picking them apart) and then he says "I pulled off your wings then I laughed" which means he's causing them to change, in a cruel way at that. Then when he says "it's like you never had words" to me that says they were impressionable because they themselves didn't have strong opinions, which makes them very easy to manipulate. | |
| Silverchair – Abuse Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I believe that when he says "throw the sailors overboard" means that, fine, you can abuse people, but when you need someone, they're not going to be there for you. And all captains need a crew! So, if you treat all your sailors/friends poorly, then they're not going to want to be around you. | |
| Kittie – Loveless Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think this song is about selfishness. It's about having the option to make a decision based on yourself or someone else that you care a lot about, and always choosing yourself in the end. Least that's how I interpret it. | |
| Breaking Benjamin – You Fight Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song to me is about liking to be in control, but finally at one point in your life you've come across a situation in which you had no control over anything and you're fed up. Towards the end of the song he's saying possibly that "This is how it's going to end" b/c he's going to choose what happens in his life and not be ok with anything other than what he chooses in the end. | |
| Breaking Benjamin – Breath Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"You take the breath right out of me And left a hole where my heart should be You gotta fight just to make it through 'Cause I will be the death of you" I think this means that he was hurt by some girl who had a place in his heart, but he says he's going to be death of her means she will no longer be in his heart and he's just completely getting rid of any place he had for her in his heart. |

| Deadsy – The Key to Gramercy Park Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Ok, while everyone else has their deeper meanings... I think they got the idea from GHOSTBUSTERS (1st movie). Watch it, you'll see what I'm talking about - even if I am wrong. It's eerily similar. Yep Yep. | |
